Melanie Brown
Executive Function & Self-Regulation Specialist
Melanie Brown is an Executive Function & Self-Regulation Specialist with over 17 years of classroom teaching experience. She has a deep love for working with kids and a thoughtful understanding of how executive functioning challenges can shape a child's day, both at school and at home.
Working virtually with children and teens, including those with ADHD, Melanie helps kids build the everyday skills that make life feel more manageable, like staying focused, getting started on tasks, staying organized, and following through. Her sessions are warm, practical, and tailored to each child, so the strategies they learn actually fit their lives.
As a Certified Emotional Health Practitioner through Trent University, Melanie also brings real depth to the self-regulation side of her work. She helps children navigate the big feelings that often come up around hard tasks, building resilience, self-awareness, and simple tools they can lean on when things feel overwhelming.
Melanie works alongside parents too, offering guidance and practical ideas so the skills children are building in sessions can be gently reinforced at home.
